Chef Faila Abdul-Razak is a Ghanaian chef and musician who recently attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
She started her cookathon on January 1, 2024 at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, the capital of the Northern region and the third-largest city in Ghana. Her goal was to cook for more than 113 hours, surpassing the previous record held by a Ugandan chef.

Some people from Accra, the capital of Ghana and the largest city in the country, complained that Tamale people were hostile to them and did not welcome their support. Chef Faila Abdul-Razak said that she did not let these criticisms affect her, and that she appreciated the love and encouragement she received from her fans and family.
She also thanked her husband, Lt. Reginald Ofosuhene Adjei, a Ghana armed force personnel, who supported her throughout her cookathon. The couple got married on November 1, 2020 and have one child together. Chef Faila Abdul-Razak said that her husband was her inspiration and motivation, and that he helped her to stay focused and hydrated.
